Convert an Admin Managed RAC Database to Policy Managed

 

Check the current pool status
$ srvctl config database -d GRACE2
Database unique name: GRACE2
Database name: GRACE2
Oracle home: /u01/app/oracle/product/11203/racdb
Oracle user: oracle
Spfile: +DATA/GRACE2/spfileGRACE2.ora

Stop database - Add RAC database to pool - check pool status
$ srvctl stop database -d GRACE2
$ srvctl add srvpool -g SrvPool1 -l 1 -u 2
$ srvctl modify database -d GRACE2 -g SrvPool1
$ srvctl status srvpool -a
Server pool name: Free
Active servers count: 1
Active server names: grac3
NAME=grac3 STATE=ONLINE
Server pool name: Generic
Active servers count: 0
Active server names: 
Server pool name: SrvPool1
